A clear and shiny ruby-red with a soft purple shimmer. Black cherry marmalade, raspberries and a hint of nutmeg. A menthol touch of mint and myrrh underlined by some smoked bacon. At the palate a distinct and tight acidity, pretty dry but fine tannins. This wine still holds potential for the future to develop but already surprisingly good, really, really fine!

After the second Roundtable from Sibiu, I braced myself and challenged Oliver for a wine tasting of Romanian varieties. No sooner said than done (after he picked up the glove I realized I was in for a certainty).
